We are pleased to welcome back Frank Farmer for his second year as head chef here at McGraw’s. Frank is a veteran chef who apprenticed in Buffalo, New York and Nello Buti, Italy. After apprenticing, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Service Management from the esteemed Johnson & Wales University, alma mater of celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse.

Like Lagasse, Farmer hails from Buffalo, New York and has tenaciously gone after his culinary dreams. Around Purdue University, Farmer is best known as the Frank of Famous Franks, a popular late night food truck business.

Farmer was the head of the McGraw’s kitchen crew for two years in the early 2000’s before he made the decision to pursue opportunities as chef to Purdue fraternities and sororities. As Frank settles back into the kitchen, he continues McGraw’s decadent tradition of steaks, seafood, and chops while bringing back favorite creations such as Jack Daniel’s Teriyaki tips- recently named “favorite dish” at the 2012 March of Dimes Signature Chef auction.

We are pleased to have such a well-established chef on our staff and we’re sure you’ll be grateful too once you try one of his sumptuous creations.
